At InnoDays Rheintal 2018, the team took on a challenge by Rauch Fruchtsäfte that would change their professional trajectory: reimagining the beverage experience. What started as a student project quickly evolved from a conceptual prototype into a mission-driven startup.

From the initial spark at InnoDays, Limifyze was born—a company dedicated to developing and manufacturing smart beverage solutions specifically designed for the high demands of the gastronomy and hospitality sectors.

The Spark: From Theory to Reality

For the founders, the most inspiring part of the InnoDays experience was the shift from academic theory to real-world application.

“As a student at the time, what inspired me the most was finally working on something that might actually become a reality—to build something and gather feedback from day zero” 

This early validation proved crucial. While the team initially explored a different direction than their original challenge partner, the spirit of collaboration remained. Eventually, they joined forces with the corporate partner again for a new, specialized project, proving that the bridges built during InnoDays often lead to unexpected and valuable destinations.

Evolution through Persistence and Tech

The journey from a hackathon idea to a market-ready ecosystem wasn’t driven by luck, but by a deep fascination with technology and a commitment to customer feedback.

“The longer we kept building on our idea, the better we understood the market we were building for. This motivated us to continue developing innovative products for the hospitality industry.”

Through the highs and lows of the development process, one key lesson from InnoDays remained their North Star: Talk to—and especially listen to—your customers. This focus allowed them to bridge the gap between startup agility and corporate scale.
