CREO is the new academic and entrepreneurship education of the University of Bergamo that was created with the aim of promoting the personal growth, creativity, and innovation capacity of students, involving professors and researchers from all areas of knowledge and the local innovation ecosystem.
At CREO, people from different backgrounds come together to tackle the Hackathon and develop solutions for an innovative future. You’ll collaborate with people from different backgrounds to validate ideas and turn them into prototypes in just 48 hours, generating concrete approaches for the twin transition (digital and sustainable). The hackathon revolves around two challenges calling for (i) new concepts for lighting to make shared indoor places smart spaces, and (ii) new AI-powered ways to support lifecycle gate governance to prompt smarter decisions.
The hackathon follows a structured innovation process with three phases:
We believe complex problems are best solved collaboratively. Everyone is welcome to join the Hackathon. Participants are students, employees, freelancers, creatives and hopefully you.
The best ideas get the company partner’s support to make the idea happen.
Work in a team with different skillsets and mindsets to come up with innovative solutions and learn with others.
Inspirational Leaders will support and encourage you during the 48 hours.
Innovation is something you get better by doing it. This is your opportunity to gain hands-on experience by solving critical challenges.
Find your next career opportunity as an InnoDays talent.
You also have the opportunity to network with companies and likeminded people!

The easiest way is to take the shuttle leaving at 7.45 on June 18th and 19th from Bergamo Station. Alternatively, parking is available at Gewiss premises.
The events’ language will be a mix of English and Italian depending where the participants come from. Teams can choose to work together in whatever language they want, but the outcomes of the event will have to be in English too.
Our main group of participants is university students with diverse backgrounds including business, data, and engineering.
You will have to submit a video that summarizes your idea for the innovation challenge on the registration form.
We will host an online kickoff session on May 14th to introduce the challenges. During the event, the first day will be dedicated to getting together as a team and refine your team’s idea. Day 2 and day 3 will have a focus on prototyping and validating your idea respectively.
Teams will have access to a platform showcasing useful resources to progress on the idea. Check-ins and mentoring will complement the support.
Each team will have to submit a pitch-deck showcasing its idea and a pitch-video. A jury composed of company partners, experts, and mentors will evaluate the submission based on innovativeness, feasibility, challenge fit, progress in the 48 hours, and motivation to continue working on the idea.
No, there is no pre-requisite besides your commitment to join the event throughout the 48 hours.
